Mom and Dad's Trip to Norway in 1989
The centre of Torvet 1s a statue of Olav Tryggvassen, the founder of Trondheim. He made it the capital of Norway and is credited with introducing Christianity into the country. In the background can be seen the spire of the Cathedral, Nidaros Domkirke, where Olav Haraldsen, St Olav, is buried. We visited the Cathedral later in the trip.
