Mom and Dad's Trip to Norway in 1989
A group of farm buildings including living quarters. Facilities were pretty primitive and the whole building was heated by a fire place. Beds were built in and quite small. No stretching out would be possible. The sod roofs were used everywhere. The first layer was birch bark and the sod laid on top. The roofs gave good a protection and insulation and the grass held them in place.
